I want to like this lite. The lighting effects are nice, but there are some issues. To properly use, you need at least 6" of space behind the tank. My tanks are against walls, so I can't use as directed. I didn't know this before I bought it. Also, when using at the bottom with the light pointing upwards, or against the wall, it illuminates the wall and ceiling above the tank, which is not a nice effect. I tried placing it on the upper trim of the tank, pointing downwards, but the suction cups let go after a few days. I have to reinstall it once a week during my tank maintenance. Also, if you install it on the top trim, you will not be able to install anything on the back of the tank (HOB filters, inlet and outlet tubing etc) I'll be returning it, which is too bad, because I do like how it looks.
