The Advantage Series is ideal for small ponds, aquariums, and water features. Advantage UV’s are slim, lightweight units designed for maximum UV effectiveness. Aqua Ultraviolet UV’s will clear your water in 3 to 5 days sometimes overnight and keep it that way. Performance is guaranteed when sized, installed and operated according to our instructions.
A sterilizer will eliminate green water and control bacteria. The Advantage 2000, 15 Watt plumbs in line and will sterilize up to 500 gallons of fresh water or 90 gallons of salt water. In marine fish tanks (No reef or live rock) a flow rate matching those shown in the 75,000 or 90,000 column will be most effective at controlling fish disease.

In salt water reef environments choose a UV that matches your flow rate per hour in the 30,000 or 45,000 columns of our chart. Flow rates in the 75,000 and 90,000 columns will destroy the planktonic food supply for the reef.

advantage 2000+
I was fighting a bacteria bloom (cloudy water) for months. I picked this company ,made in U.S.A., because it's the best one ! There are cheaper brands but they fail with water leaks and quality of material. I went with the inline as opposed to the hang on style ,so I would not hear any splashing return water. Cleared up the water in five hours!! The next morning SUPER CRYSTAL CLEAR !! I cut different size hose pieces ,fit them into each other, so I could run 1/2" hose instead of 3/4" My setup 70-75 gallon with sump.
Good purchase
After spending a lot of time checking different options I decided to purchase the Advantage 2000 for my 75 gallon tank. I like the design, which prevents water leaks, an issue I read people had with the Coral Life sterilizer, which was originally my first choice. To instal to I had to buy a Syncra Silent pump (Model 1.0), 10 ft 3/4 ID clear vinyl tubing and two 1” stainless steel hose clamps. These sterilizers are big, but I placed this one right on the side of one of the walls of my sump and I can hardly notice it. Very happy with this product.
