Hammer Coral - The MIMF Hammer Coral is a branching large polyp stony coral. The name is derived from the hammer shape of the tentacles that protrude far from its skeleton. These large fleshy polyps sway back and forth passively with the water current and provide great movement to the home aquarium. Depending on the type of lighting used, this coral can take on a pinkish color. Similar to other Euphylliids in terms of temperament, the Hammer Coral can be aggressive with long flowing sweeper tentacles. This strain has been cultured for years making the transition into a home aquarium much easier than a wild collected colony.

Elephant Skin Coral - A stunningly unique and uncommon coral that grows outward with dramatic encrusting plates. This coral has iconic rows of well-defined ridges that give it a distinct textured shape, reminiscent of the wrinkles on Elephant skin. As a very forgiving and hardy coral, this species can grow under a variety of aquarium conditions. While it can grow in lower lighting environments, its best colors glow under higher intensity lighting.
Sprung Stunner Coral - Sprung’s Stunner is an extremely fast growing Echinopora lamellosa that has a purple base and bright green polyps. We acquired our original piece from Julian Sprung when he was breaking down an outdoor aquarium. It is an extremely hardy and fast growing coral that is tolerant of low-light conditions. Like most LPS, care must be taken when choosing the placement location in your tank as when the lights go out the sweeper tentacles come out!
This coral looks nearly identical to the Hollywood Stunner Echinopora that has been around for some time now. We couldn’t trace the lineage of this coral back to a piece of Hollywood Stunner which left us unsure of what to name it. For the first time ever we reached out to our Friends and Fans on Facebook for their advice. With a total of 50 votes, the name Sprung’s Stunner was chosen.

Galaxea - The ORA Frogskin Acro is a stocky branched coral having extremely bumpy texture and colors that vary from yellowish to bright green with shades of purple depending on lighting conditions. The corallites are rotund and tubular and some of the polyps have a slightly blue hue. The spectacular mature colony shape is what makes this coral so unique. As it grows, branches fuse together making solid plates and a solid inner core from which the branches extend.

Bubble Coral - The MIMF Bubble Coral has some of the most unique growth of any large polyp stony. Soft, pillow like bubbles inflate around a ridged hard skeleton. Each swollen bubble has intricate lined striations and can come in a variety of colors from light green to creamy beige. This is a tough species, great for entry level coral enthusiasts because it prefers less direct flow and can tolerate a range of lighting and placement options inside the aquarium. Make sure to keep some distance between this species and other corals, as the Bubble Coral has elongated sweeper tentacles that can be aggressive.
