Description
Bursting with minty intensity from each eye of this Favite, this dynamic coral can dramatically improve a variety of areas in the aquarium rockscape. From tight hidden crevices to exposed sandy flats, Favites are a tough group of LPS corals that are great for beginners. At night, each large colorful polyp will open up and extend hungry tentacles that catch small floating particles of food. While target feeding is optional, they tend to grow faster with a feed of assorted foods appropriate for large polyp stonies. As with all LPS corals, careful maintenance of calcium, alkalinity and magnesium are important.
