Only a light dusting of green
I had green cyanobacteria taking over my rockwork and spreading over the sand bed on my 90G reef tank. I treated per the instructions. By 24hrs, it was 50% gone. By 48hrs, seemed 80% gone. By 72hrs, all cyanobacteria was 95% gone with just a light dusting of pale green stains on some of the higher lit spots on the rockwork. Did a 25% waterchange. All is looking good. This is a solid final effort for clearing up a cyanobacteria outbreak. Just follow the instructions to a T.
Great product

Apprehensive Initially, Thrilled Afterward
As many who have had to consider using chemicals in their tanks, I was apprehensive initially about using this in mine. However I had a low grade but persistent cyanno (BGA) outbreak in my freshwater tank that was getting in the moss, on the plants and in the gravel near the front glass. I tried mechanical removal, but it just hung around, gradually spreading. I followed the directions exactly, subtracting water volume from my 10 gallon tank to account for hardscape and substrate. I figured I had 7.5 gallons of water. So, I mixed up 1 level scoop in 1 cup of water using a measuring cup. I poured off 1/4 cup and used just the remaining 3/4 cup in the aquarium after removing my ChemiPure Green and Purigen. I used 2 air-stones just in case, to maximize oxygenation. Neither my betta nor my nerite seemed bothered by the ChemiClean. My betta was more annoyed by the excessive agitation caused by the airstone. I didn't see any difference in the cyanno at 24 hours, and truthfully didn't see much difference at 48 hours. I did about a 25% water change, and put in brand new ChemiPure Green + Purigen. I had no issues with my cycle, and all water parameters remained stable. After a couple more days, I noted that there was no more cyanno on my plants, and all of it at the front glass had browned. I was able to remove all browned material at my next regular water change. So far, no cynnao has not returned, and my tank looks great. While I wouldn't use this regularly as suggested by the manufacturer, I would not hesitate to use it in this, or one of my other tanks in the future if cyanno became a problem. There are some suggestions that ChemiClean either is (or contains) a non-succinate form of erythromycin, but as mentioned above, this did not impact my beneficial bacteria.
awesome product. works as intended.
