The chocolate chip starfish is a sea star with a number of distinctive features, including:

AppearanceChocolate chip starfish are named for their dark, pointed projections that resemble chocolate chips. They can be ivory, pale yellow, pink, or red-brown in color. They have thick, tapering arms and a heavy body.

SpinesChocolate chip starfish have rows of spines or "horns" that run down their body. These dark protrusions are used to scare away predators.

SizeChocolate chip starfish can grow up to 12 inches (30 cm) across.

HabitatChocolate chip starfish are found in the warm, shallow waters of the Indo-Pacific region, predominantly in the Red Sea. They exist in shallow sheltered waters where there is muddy and sandy bottoms.

DietChocolate chip starfish are opportunistic hunters and will feed off anything they find, including detritus, sponges, shellfish, clams, and decaying animal and plant matter.

- All of our invert tanks are Fallow, we do not keep them with fish.
- If you have an issue with something dying, we will make it right by refund or reshipment. We know buying livestock online can be tricky at times.
- We don't buy/sell micro pea sized livestock. All of our snails, crabs, etc we purchase Medium to X Large sizes. I hate buying clean up crews online and getting hundreds of small barely viable inverts.
- We check your shipping location before packing and include the appropriate number of heat/cold packs. Being a larger company we aren't afraid to spend more on shipping and packing to give your animals the best chance at thriving.

- We are building this program from the ground up so we can control everything. We do not drop ship. We control the animals we select, the husbandry, prep, pick, pack, ship. The entire process. We are just getting started.
