Description
This Unit has a Wiper to clean the Quartz Sleeve
Aqua Ultraviolet UV Sterilizers will eradicate algae, bacteria, and protozoa without any harmful chemicals or additives!
UV lamps emit a wavelength that will alter and disrupt the DNA or RNA of single-celled organisms. Combining the UV lamp into a large housing allows for maximum contact time with the lamp allowing the sterilizer to be much more efficient. By changing the flow rates through the body of the UV sterilizer lets you target the specific issue you may be having. Most reefers will report that their tanks water clears up overnight with others taking just a couple days, and as long as the UV is running, the water will stay crystal clear! Every AquaUV Sterilizer includes quick-connect unions on the input and output allowing you to quickly remove the entire system from your aquariums plumbing for maintenance, allowing you to mount the UV Sterilizer without having to worry about having room for quartz sleeve and bulb changes.
- Clear Blue Quartz Cap - Lets you see when the lamp is on
- EZ-Twist Cap - Quick and easy quartz sleeve maintenance
- Quick Release Unions - Remove the entire body without any dismantling your plumbing

Information for Reef Tanks
A UV rated in the 30,000 or 45,000 µw/cm2 (EOL) is ideal for the reef environment. UV’s used at higher kill rates will destroy the planktonic food supply for the reef
Information for Marine Fish
(No reef or live rock) A UV rated in the 75,000 or 90,000 µw/cm2 (EOL) will be the most effective at controlling fish disease. All UV dosages are calculated at the end of lamp life (14 months).
