The HALO® Wireless Field pH Meter incorporates Bluetooth® Smart technology with an application-specific design. There are several features that make it ideal for taking pH measurements in the field.
PEI is suitable for a wide range of applications and excels in field measurements due to its durability. The shielding around the spherical glass tip minimizes breakage due to accidental bumping or dropping of the electrode. PEI is a high quality plastic that is chemically resistant to many aggressive chemicals.
HI12302 features a built-in temperature sensor for temperature measurement and compensation.
The spheric bulb is for general purpose use within laboratory environments and applications that measure aqueous solutions due to its large surface area.

Accurate and fast
I have used various low-end pH meters and been consistently disappointed with their speed and accuracy. I have found this one to be fast and accurate and I have been very happy with the performance. The app is simple to use with a clear display and takes only a second to appear within the Bluetooth menu from the time that it is turned on. The readings stabilise quickly (typically within 15 seconds, but sometimes up to 30-40) with agitation. I have found the best and fastest results when measuring within a small vessel (a shot glass) and I always take 3 samples and measure them separately for good results. I also found that for good probe health, investing a few bucks in good storage solution is invaluable. I find that I only need to recalibrate every few months. The calibration is easy and fast, with the app guiding you through the steps.
