- Salinity readings are performed by an amperometric graphite probe that resists oxidation, providing better repeatability in measurements. The use of graphite also reduces the polarization effect common with testers that use two stainless steel pins.

35.00 ppt Calibration Standard Sachet Solution (4)
When performing a calibration it is important that the correct buffers are used. We include some starter buffer to get you going. The single-use sachets are individually sealed so you use fresh buffer each time you calibrate.

Hanna Means Quality
This is a great instrument! Accurately gives you the proper temperature and salinity. This comes with extra calibration solution and a battery. So tired of cheap electronic testers that need recalibration every time you use it, or those darn refractor. I obviously love mine...
Arrived used
received the tester and upon opening it i noticed that the battery cover was all scratched and scuffed. it was definitely used. i contacted customer service and was basically told that it was not. i let them know that it was used and probably reshrink wrapped.

Package came in good but when I opened it it had dried up salt on the bottom and dark stains. Idk if that is normal or if it’s used.
Checking Temperature & Salinity Quicker
I’m glad I was able to purchase this Tester to get my Salinity and temperature quicker. But I I will also use my refractometer once in a while to make sure I’m getting the same reading.
