Mr. Frank caught Mr. Longnose Hawkfish
Easy to put together and place in the aquarium. Even easier to catch our Longnose Hawkfish. I baited the trap with frozen Mysis and when I glanced away he swam into the trap and I released the trap door as soon I noticed. From unboxing to capture it took less than an hour. Well built and very little assembly required. Would recommend to others. Mr. Longnose is a great fish for some but when he reduced our fish population by one and was looking for more we made the difficult (not) decision to relocated him to the LFS. He doesn't appear to be stressed about it one bit.
Had to remove a couple of fish and was trying for weeks. Got this trap and with in 24 hours all were out and in there new home!
Caught my fish
Worked as intended. My complaint is how flimsy it is. I did manage to catch the fish, but only one. Unfortunately, I won't be able to catch another because the construction is so weak. The trap fell apart in my hands as parts broke off just giving it a fresh water rinse after use. I don't consider it priced for one time use so should be made with better quality.
Does it's job
I was able to catch a rogue blue tang that was attacking many other fish. Took two days, but patience paid off. One thing to not is the width on the door isn't correct. It's not wide enough. It sometimes falls out when pulling the string to close it. The fish trap works, but it's over-priced for the design flaw.
Fish trap
Very pleased with performance. With right food inducement trapped a powder blue tang, purple tang, green chromis, foxface rabbittfish, filefish and long-nose hawkfish.
Wrong Fish
The clown fish I was trying to catch never went in the trap but my Tang did. Used it for 2 weeks and did not catch the right fish
