Description
Pom pom crabs are small, brightly colored crabs that are known for carrying anemones in their claws:
- Size: Pom pom crabs are about 1 inch wide on average.
- Color: They have white to tan bodies with darker markings for camouflage. Their shells are made of orange and white panels.
- Legs: Their legs are clear with black or dark purple bands.
- Anemone: They carry a small anemone in each claw. The anemone's stinging tentacles protect the crab and help it gather food.
- Habitat: They live in shallow water in tropical regions, such as the Indo-Pacific, Red Sea, and East African coast. They hide in rubble, rocks, or under coral.
- Diet: They are omnivores that eat detritus, meaty foods like mysis shrimp and chopped fish, and algae.
- Lifespan: They have a lifespan of 1–2 years.
- Other names: They are also known as Hawaiian boxer crabs, cheerleader crabs, and mosaic boxer crabs.

- We don't buy/sell micro pea sized livestock. All of our snails, crabs, etc we purchase Medium to X Large sizes. I hate buying clean up crews online and getting hundreds of small barely viable inverts.
- We check your shipping location before packing and include the appropriate number of heat/cold packs. Being a larger company we aren't afraid to spend more on shipping and packing to give your animals the best chance at thriving.
