Description
SheShells is a natural bottom substrate for marine and alkaline freshwater aquariums, such as African Cichlid habitats, providing calcium carbonate buffering and many microhabitats.
The coarse size of SheShells allows for unrestricted water flow and easy maintenance. The naturally porous structure provides high surface area for biological filtration too. SheShells slowly dissolve in freshwater aquariums, helping to maintain an alkaline condition ideal for African Cichlids. The included complete snail shells serve as habitat for fishes, hermit crabs, and other invertebrates.
