Description

Made in Germany, 3 Year Warranty, Run Dry Protection!

The obvious ideas are often the best. This also applies to the aquarium heating element. It is simply hung in the water and heats it up. The principle is the same as it was decades ago. But in the meantime the EHEIM controller heater has become an ultra-modern thermal device. The temperature can be set precisely and is measured even more precisely and kept more constant by the electronics. The coating made of special laboratory glass increases the heating surface, serves as a heat shield and ensures even heat emission. And whether you want to heat a 5 - 300 Gallon aquariums - you can choose from 10 sizes.

Barely warm

I’ve had this hooked up for about three weeks and today it will not get my 20 gallon above 75°. I had it hooked up to a controller and took it off of the controller and plugged it straight into the wall and adjusted it that way and still no higher than 75°. I’m going to send Eheim a email and see what they say.

New toy for my betta fish

I just installed this heater two days ago, and I could never imagine my betta fish would get so happy. He loves his new heater, I can see him swimming around it all the time, even I spot him hanging on the nearest leave taking a nap, I got it with my camera, you can see the photos. I can make you sure that this is a very reliable heater. I set the temperature at 80ºF. I have installed a Pinpoint Thermometer in my aquarium and I have checked all the time the temperature. It stays all the time between 80.2 and 80.3. Now I only have Eheim in my aquariums for each betta fish. It's a pitty that the 25 watt is so big, it does not fit in my 3G. aquarium for my baby-mini-betta. I bought all the heaters with the "INK BIRD Dual Aquarium Thermostat Temp Controller" I can not tell you about this item cause I haven't used yet. I'll let you know soon!

Great improvements to a classic

The revised EHEIM Thermocontrol are great. I feel confident about the new heater.

Nice improvement on a classic

The new e-series is electronically controlled, providing greater accuracy than the bimetallic thermostat found on previous Eheim heaters. Like the earlier models, it's available in finer wattage steps than those of other manufacturers. I bought the 75W unit to use on a 20-gallon tank. The dial is marked only at 68, 72, 75, 79, 82, 86, and 90, and the numbers appear only in a little window, so it takes some trial and error to get the temperature set right where you want it. Once you get it set, though, it maintains the temperature much more accurately than the previous models. I'm only seeing a variance of +/- 0.2 Fahrenheit.
