works but noisy when starting.
very strong but there is a strong clicking before the pump starts. Have it on a controller and kind of irritating clicks every 10-15 minutes
Terrible product! The fan won’t stay on. Waste of my money.
Nanostream 6020
I ordered this in November 2018 but didn't actually get to install it until the week of Christmas 2018. Between that time and the first week of March 2019, I noted 4 separate occasions the pump wasn't working as in no movement of the propeller at all. The first time this happened, I removed the pump and noticed ~3 grains of sand (literally) around the magnet area on the propeller shaft. So I moved it higher in the tank, which was also not the most sightly of things. It was in a IM Fusion 20 and I already wasn't fond of the cord going down the middle of the tank, but now there was the cord and half the pump as well. This did not resolve the issue however. It would stop working and I would remove it and clean it not noticing any sand, snails, crabs or other obstructions-it just wasn't working. I would take it apart, clean it and it would start working again. That is until last weekend March 9th 2019. I noticed it wasn't working again and it was also time for a water change so I figured I would take it out and clean it during this time. I removed the pump and cleaned it as I had previously done not noticing any obstructions, but this time it didn't start working again. I examined it closer and noticed something with the shaft wasn't right. It appears the tip of the shaft that stabilizes the propeller has broken off. I didn't bother taking pictures because the trash can was closer than my phone. I would estimate the pump was actually running for ~5 to 7 weeks total. I'm really disappointed in this pump and will not be recommending or purchasing another.
